So I’ve been thinking... some on here who are “in the know” have been hinting at the word “underground” in reference to this attraction. And with it being speculated to be a launch coaster, and Cedar Fair’s trademark of ‘Copperhead Strike’, I got to thinking.... what if this coaster was launched from an underground tunnel? After all, what would be a more fitting start to a coaster themed after the Carolinas’ most notorious pit viper?
Now at first glance, this may not seem that significant, but this would actually be a huge marketing opportunity for the park. To my knowledge, there has never been a coaster launched from underground. Trenches and tunnel launches have been built, but it seems like a fully submerged launch has not. The closest thing off the top of my head with something similar would be Full Throttle. Would the second launch be considered a tunnel through the terrain, or an underground tunnel? Did I just make my point moot?
[EDIT]It appears to take place under a bridge.
Then again, there is Karacho, so yeah, it wouldn't be the first.
